ABOUT SAM
From Syria to the American Dream
Sam was born in Syria and met his wife Michelle in Abu Dhabi when he was working for an engineering company and she was teaching. They came to the United States and settled in Michelle's home town, Eden Prairie. A few years later, they found a home in Carver. They have two grade school-aged sons who are crazy about hockey. Sam works as an inventory manager at a regional automotive group. Michelle is a teacher.
"I believe that with positive change at the board level, our district will become a place where our teachers will get the resources they need and will be given the authority to actually run their classrooms.
Parents will be able to easily determine what their children are learning, students will be allowed to focus on the basics, and the administration, for the first time, will be held accountable for our students' and district's performance.
